"If I had clean clothes, people would treat me as a human being." - Eric, during conversation that inspired Laundry Love. Laundry Love is a monthly event sponsored by the UofM Chapter of GHHS at the Chicago Lake Coin Laundromat that aims to increase access to clean laundry and provide financial relief to Minneapolis families, so they don't have to worry about paying for detergent, dryer sheets and quarters for machines. All medical students are invited to help welcome people, hear stories, and read and hand out books to kids, as well as provide vouchers for laundry.
